MAGIC SWEEPS/MOUNTAIN LAKES
Midvale Field.
I-287 North to Exit 43 (for Intervale Rd / Mountain Lakes). Go to top of the exit ramp and turn left onto Intervale Road. Go straight through the light and follow Intervale Rd for about 1 mile. Take the 4th right (there will be a garden and a mailbox in the triangle of thei ntersection) onto Midvale Rd. Follow a tree-shaded drive about 100 yards up, field is first right. If you come to the stone RR bridge, you've missed it.
BASKING RIDGE
War Memorial Field on South Maple Avenue.
I-287 to Exit 30 (North Maple Avenue Basking Ridge, not Bernardsville) onto North Maple Avenue southbound (AT&T will be on your left). Follow North Maple Ave. south about 2 miles bearing left onto South Maple Avenue at the Y in the road just as you approach downtown. Continue on South Maple about 1 mile (past Lord Stirling Stables on your left) to soccer field, which will be on your right. The soccer field is adjacent to a baseball field and is fronted by a gravel parking lot.
CLINTON
Foran Field on East Main St.
Route 22. If from west, at 2nd light turn left onto Petticoat Lane. If from east, turn right onto Petticoat Lane. You will see signs for Youth Correctional Facility and smaller signs for NHSC (North Hunterdon Soccer Club). Continue to left onto East Main St. Continue to follow signs for NHSC, fields will be on your right, up the hill, past the farms.
CLINTON
Patrick McGahan Field at Patrick McGahan School.
Route 31 North from Flemington to Allerton Road. Or Route 31 South from Route 78 to Allerton Road. If coming south, take jug handle, just past the light. If coming north, just turn right. School is immediately past the intersection on the right. Park in front of school and walk behind school to field.
FLEMINGTON
Flemington South Estates.
Take Route 202 (south from Somerville) or Route 31 (south from Clinton) into Flemington Circle. Take Route 202 South out of circle (3rd exit). Go through 2 lights. After 2nd light, turn right and take jug handle around to 202 North (Raritan Ave/Commercial Ave). Once on 202 North, take first exit (just before light) onto Reaville Avenue. Turn right onto Wellington Avenue and immediate left onto Londonderry Drive. Field is around curve, on your right, on Londonderry.
FLEMINGTON
Lenape Park.
Take Route 202 (south from Somerville) or Route 31 (south from Clinton) into Flemington Circle. Take Route 12 out of circle (2nd exit). Go around 2nd circle staying on Route 12. In 3rd circle, go almost all the way around, exiting on 523 South (exit just before where you entered). Police Station is on the right. Continue for a couple of miles. Lenape Park will be on your left. Hunterdon Soccer Club typically plays on the fields to the right.
HOPATCONG
Squire Road Field.
Route 206 North around circle onto 183. Stay on 183 around curve and go straight through light. About 1/2 mile up, take right on Brooklyn Road. (This is more of a split in the road, up a hill, then a right turn). Go to end. At end turn left onto Lakeside. Follow Lakeside several miles up hill to a light for Brooklyn Mountain Road and turn left. Follow Brooklyn Mtn Rd. West to Durban Ave. intersection (easy to pass; watch street signs carefully). Turn right onto Durban Ave and proceed short distance past Squire Rd. intersection to field sign and entrance on your left.
HOPATCONG
Veterans Field.
Route 206 North around circle onto 183. Stay on 183 around curve and go straight through light. About 1/2 mile up, take right on Brooklyn Road. (This is more of a split in the road, up a hill, then a right turn). Continue for a few miles looking for Flora Avenue on your left side (this is a small narrow road). Turn left on Flora Avenue, field is about 3/4 mile down on the left.
HOPATCONG
Civic Center/Recreation Center Field.
Route 206 North around circle onto 183. Stay on 183 around curve and go straight through light. About 1/2 mile up, take right on Brooklyn Road. (This is more of a split in the road, up a hill, then a right turn). Continue to end. Turn left on Lakeside. Continue up hill and shortly you will see the Recreation Center on the left. Enter the driveway and go ALL the way to the top of the hill to find the field.
LONG VALLEY
Chubb Park North off Rts. 24/513.
From Rt. 206 intersection with Rts. 24/513 in Chester (Larrison's Turkey Farm on NW corner), proceed West on Rts. 24/513 past Chester Library on right to first road on right; turn on to same, take through open area up into treed area and parking. Two fields are down hill to your right {Lower field can NOT be seen from parking area - you have to walk down a bit.}
LONG VALLEY
Cobblestone Lane Field on Cobblestone Lane off Kings Highway.
From Flemington, take 523 North into Long Valley. At intersection, go straight across onto Route 24. This road will take you up Schooley's Mountain. At top, go approximately 1 mile and turn left onto Pleasant Grove Road. Take Pleasant Grove Road, about 1.7 miles and turn right onto Kings Highway. Proceed on Kings Highway about 1/2 mile. Turn right onto Cobblestone Lane. Field is down the lane about .3 miles on the right. Gravel parking lot is in front. Field is behind the tree line, beyond baseball field.
MOUNT OLIVE
Sandshore School on Sandshore Rd. off Smithtown Road North of Rt. 46.
Get to Rt. 46 westbound past Budd Lake (e.g. via I80 to exit 26, or Rt. 206 north to Rt. 46, or Rt. 10 west through Ledgewood circle onto Rt. 46 West). Just past Budd Lake on your right, look for and turn right, northbound, onto Smithtown Road (we think there's a traffic light). Follow Smithtown short distance to top of hill, just past Episcopal Church on left and turn left onto Sandshore Rd. Follow Sandshore about 1/2 mile to Sandshore School on right. Park on left side of school; fields are behind the school.
MOUNT OLIVE
Emmans Road Field.
Route 206 North, turn right on Main Street in Flanders (shortly past a mini-golf facility). Do not turn into Main Street Chester, which precedes this by a few miles. Make left at Y in road. This is North Road (but there is no street sign), which turns into Hillside Avenue. Cross over RR tracks and go about 1 mile. Turn left on Emmans Road. Follow this for several miles until you see fields on the right. This road makes many turns, just keep going -- the fields are obvious when you get there.
MOUNTAIN LAKES
Mountain Lakes High School on Powerville Rd.
287N to Exit 44 Main Street Boonton. Follow exit ramp to stop sign. Turn right onto Washington Street (which is Boonton Main Street). At second light turn left onto Morris Avenue (Division Street goes to your right. At the fourth street, which is Powerville Road, turn right - High School is 1/4 mile on left. Soccer fields behind school.
MORRIS SWIM AND SPORTS CLUB
Morris Swim and Sports Club.
Follow directions to Emmans Field in Mt. Olive but turn left into Club. Sign is a small white sign in a heavily wooded area. You cannot see fields from the road but it is less than a mile down Emmans Road.
PISCATAWAY
(Vo. Tech) Technical High School on Gordon Road off Sutton's Lane.
Take I287 South to Exit 5 for County Rt. 529 (Stelton Rd). Follow Stelton Rd toward Edison past Middlesex Mall, Pizza Hut and McDonald's - all on the left. At traffic light (Fairway Golf Center on right) turn right onto Ethel Road. Follow Ethel to stop sign and turn left onto Sutton's Lane. Follow Sutton's Lane and make next left onto Gordon Road. Piscataway Tech is on the right; Make right into driveway at the dead end, field and parking lot is on the left.
SPARTA
Station Park Fields on Station Rd.
From I80 go north on Rt. 15. Follow Rt. 15 North, about 8 miles from I80 and Exit 34B for Sparta Rt. 517 - Newton. Turn right after exit onto Rt. 517 Northbound away from Sparta; at first traffic light (about a 0.2 miles from exit) turn left onto Station Road, then right into second park entrance road on your right. Fields 1 & 2 (and bathrooms) are immediately on the left, follow the road up the hill for fields 3 & 4.
